Programs

Del Rio STEM Academy is proud to offer school wide programs that support students in the design thinking process through STEM Activities.

• All students participate in weekly STEM lessons that move through the Design Thinking model with our Enrichment teacher.
• Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is a STEM curriculum that all teachers are trained to use to support their Science curriculum.  All students get access to computer science units in PLTW in the STEM lab and one supplemental unit in their classrooms.  
• As a school community, we do 2 school-wide STEM challenges each year.  Students get to see how other grade levels and classes approach solving a problem and they get to build on their own ideas to improve outcomes.
